God’s Retributive Judgments of Pharaoh & Egypt

Abiding Testimony of Timeless Divine Justice

Judgment Nine - Locust Invasion

Devour Herbs & Fruit of Trees (Exodus:10.4-14)

Admission by Pharaoh’s servants:

Egypt has been destroyed by God

Interpret “locust” as “low customs.” Africa was destined to become an expansive Garden of Eden for man upon leaving the first Eden. However, a potentially sweet & flavorful tropical garden was being dismantled by hard-hearted Pharaoh. We are to be a lovely fragrance in the nostrils of God, an entirely good tree that never withers (Psalm:1). Pharaoh rejected this destiny and paid for his persistent wickedness by being written out of all living future. “Be ye holy, even as I am holy” is God’s command to all of mankind (1 Peter:1.16). Indoctrinating with low and unholy customs surly brings the wrath of God to any leaders, any people, anywhere. Egyptian leaves (symbolizing people of Egypt) were consumed by locusts, while God’s leaves (symbolizing His people) were not consumed, even by fiery trials (Exodus:3).
