PHILOSOPHY
Priesthood of Science & Technology
The philosophy behind active agents of the Global Environmental Service derives from the Holy Scripture's vision for the end of the Church Age. Since this differs much from modern corporate cultures and political science of governments, carefully drawn Scriptural references are given here to validate appropriateness of Global Environmental Service and the Priesthood of Science & Technology as societal instrumentalities of Divine will.
Fill Earth to Capacity & Manage All That Lives
And God blessed them (Adam & Eve), and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. Genesis:1.28
Fulfill Promise of World Peace
And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. . . And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men. Luke:2.10-11; 13-14

End of War
He shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more. Isaiah:2.4
Sorrows End
He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the LORD hath spoken it. Isaiah:25.8
Full Knowledge
And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more. Jeremiah:31.34, Hebrews:8.11
Restful Days
There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his. Hebrews:4.9-10
This mosaic of Biblical truth chronicles fallen man working out of ignorance as he fills the earth, refining his mind as he handles God's handiwork and polishes his skills. Crowning consummate civilization are peace and rest, joy and wisdom. God's Chosen People (Jews and Christians) serve as mediators between heaven and earth, preserving the latter in bringing about labor-free heavenly days. They navigate the path of progress on behalf of mankind so that God's intended destination is reached. Granted ease to the body and completion of things physical sets the mind and things Spiritual as centerpiece. God's end-times leadership emerges the gentlest of gentlemen (Lambs of God), keeping the delicate balance of redeemed Nature where all live safely and well-provided for. Equipped with a globally-educated and Spiritually-mature mind, service on behalf of burgeoning populations and fully-interfacing nations is rendered by a consummate Mind of Christ, able to handle all situations. Priestly righteousness and holiness sustains ministry at the portal of God's blessings-to-share. Society incurs the obligation to protect and reproduce the holy, harmless priesthood, that sacred access to Almighty God not be lost and His benefit stream closed.
Envisioning the Priesthood of Science & Technology as God's High Priesthood in these consummate days explains why they must be chosen of God, that is, Called by Him. Their gentleness and righteousness grants access to Holy God (Vertical Justification), and empowers their prayers and petitions on behalf of the people. Capstone education, especially in the constructive realms of engineering and management, confers world-spanning knowledge (Horizontal Justification). They mediate heaven and earth, finally bringing heaven to earth with sober vigilance sufficient to delicate, tearless sustainability. They are heaven's ambassadors for Christ (2 Cor:5.20). They protect the Holy of Holies (that is, the human mind) in the Temple of God (the human body, per 1 Cor:3.16-17), keeping Free Will aligned with God's Will world-around. They are sure Navigators of Time and Space, to keep the Children of God moving safely forward, through any and all darkness, storms, floods, and fires. Moreso, they possess divine foresight to set straight paths that encounter no perils, peacefully moving from peace to peace . . . forever (Psalm:32.8). The grand design for humankind from Adam to the Great Day of the Lord (Joel:2.31) has groomed God's Sons as compleat, self-sufficient Sovereigns, freely and peacefully expressing all that is good and beautiful and relieving. Earth resolves a magnificent green emerald (Rev:4.3). The Childern of God: a delicate, unwithering boquet, fragrant and beautiful, eternally presented to the Creator and Father of all, an ever-living true-love story.
In Christ

Give as the Lord has prospered you.
Ye have consecrated yourselves unto the LORD,
come near and bring sacrifices and thank offerings into the house of the LORD. 2 Chronicles:29.31
Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give;
not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. 2 Corinithians:9.7
Be [anxious] for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippeans:4.6-7
Donations to Global Environmental Service (GES) continue its ministry, but are not tax deductible. Any amount given is significant and important. You might think of financial gifting to GES as a stock investment in a corporation (they are not tax deductible, but can appreciate in value with time), only the corporation is the Body of Christ. There is no ownership certificate. However, God faithfully records all giving and handles all returns to charity. It actually is a better system for prosperity than stocks and bonds. Appreciation is handled by the will of God, and He always brings increase (see, for example how God rewarded Peter for lending his fishing boat to Son of God Jesus in Luke:5.1-9 or Paul’s understanding in 1 Corinthians:3.6-7).
GES financial strategy usually involves accumulating donations and transforming them to perpetual annuities to predictably extend the time horizon of service and simplify planning. Living expense and R&D expense are met through this approach. Annuity interest rates are not very high (e.g., APR=7%), and usually require a large principle to get things started ($10,000 or more). If the benefit stream for a $10,000 principle investment extends 10 years, monthly support is $119. Invested 20 years, the benefit is $79/mo. Donors of annuity gifts are accountable for any taxes they owe on them prior to making the donation. Tax implications of an annuity gift to GES can be gradually paid over the payout term of the instrument (e.g., 20 years) with each annual or monthly installment.
Cash gifts to Global Environmental Service engage no interest-building effect. GES pays a one-time tax as received, even though such monies might pay expenses over a period of time. A cash donation of $100 translates to a before-tax benefit of $0.83/mo over 10 years, and a before-tax benefit of $0.42/mo over 20 years. The same lump sum given as an annuity investment with 7% interest translates to $1.19/mo over 10 years and $0.79/mo over 20 years, both amounts on a before-tax basis.
Lump-sum donations received by any service organization (whether tax-deductible or not) are experienced less frequently as magnitude increases. Unusually large amounts introduce variability in cash flow that reduces planning efficiency. They, too, are best evened out via annuity-smoothing by the donor or GES. Donating an annuity instrument spreads the benefit and tax burden over many years, predictably sustaining Global Environmental Service, and simplifying short-range planning and implementation of projects, products, and services. A donation of $1,000 cast as a mutual fund annuity gift paying 10% over 20 years would generate $9.79/mo before taxes. A $5,000 mutual fund annuity gift would generate $48.94/mo before taxes. A $10,000 mutual fund annuity would generate $97.88/mo before taxes. Were the $10,000 mutual fund cast as a perpetuity (no time limit on payout), it would perpetually generate about $84/mo before taxes.
These examples clarify the point that one-time cash gifts do not produce much ongoing support of family living expenses to GES ministry. Given annual median household income in the U.S.A. of $54,000, the magnitude of a one-time perpetual annuity gift to generate that level of monthly income would be in the range of ½ to ¾ million dollars. Facilitating Global Environmental Service with an educational elite requisite to solving problems anywhere in the world draws from a very limited pool of PhDs (about 1% of the U.S. population) who earn an average of $84,000 per year. Meeting those living expense on an endowment basis requires a principle of $1.2 million. PhDs often are part of an academic fraternity accustomed to tenure (guaranteed lifetime job security) in their employment contracts. The salary treatment of excellent faculty often includes endowed chair awards to permanently sustain them at a higher level of income in vital lines of inquiry and service excellence.
Illustrative professional compensation statistics are offered below to establish a frame of reference for funding first-class Christian work, and not fall under Malachi’s condemnation about robbing God (Malachi:1-4). The reference to military expense clarifies the cost a Christian nation bears by NOT befriending other nations according to the Great Commission of Jesus Christ (Matthew:28.19-20) via international missionaries AND peaceful infrastructure development of the sort available through Global Environmental Service, the Peace Corp, and others. (Matthew:25.31-46)

IThe table below summarizes household income distribution for the nation as a whole. Presuming that God’s servants should be drawn from the top 10% to bring the highest value creators into His storehouse (Malachi:3.8-10), annual support might be $194,053. Sustaining this would require a perpetual annuity principle (gift) in the vicinity of $1.9-$2.8 million. Drawing from the top 5% of the population, annual support would be $332,347, and the requisite principle would be in the range of $3.3-$4.6 million.

One-time financial gifts are a more natural choice when capital projects of a research nature are to be financed. For example, if a donor intended to fund development of one zero-base Green Energy home to nullify the energy crises and remove climate distress, a prototype might run 2 or 3 times more than a conventional new American home. New homes presently average about $260,000. A Green Energy prototype set on a necessarily larger lot might come in at or above $390,000, even though replications built in a Green Energy Community might be less than the traditional housing stock price, last longer, be safer to live in, ultimately pay for themselves, and significantly reduce household cost-of-living through the flow of Free Green Energy Dollars back to the owner. Since this type of capital project is of an R&D basis, expenditures on behalf of its development are tax deductible to GES (like any other business entity engaged in R&D). Donors are not buying a commercial home (a standard product) for GES or anybody else. In essence, a home of this nature does not yet exist in the world. It must be created, discovered, invented, specified, constructed, tested, and validated. A diverse array of R&D capital project types are shown in the table below, with reference to traditional market prices and ballpark Green Energy developmental costs that hopefully result in validating prototypes. Sometimes Green R&D costs more than market. Sometimes Green R&D involves designs that simplify and cost less than market. Sometimes Green R&D produces a prototype that goes slower or is safer (saving lives). But their ultimate innovative effect always is to (1) lower cost of living and (2) improve quality of life.

Be aware that Green R&D Projects appearing in the table above involve several radical innovations that always are hard to estimate regarding both time and cost. Relatively speaking, shorter times bring higher cost; longer times may allow lower costs AND final product refinement. Prototyping resolves uncertainties and demands more patient, crafting labor. Automated production efficiencies come into the picture later.
Donors purposing support of a capital budget involving R&D projects must exercise a degree of faith in helping to advance along the Green Corridor of Progress. Projects can easily demand two or three times the dollar investment or time investment, or they may take half the expected expense or time. Much depends on design and who does the work. Qualified Spiritual men bring advantage to the implementation effort because the same Spirit that inspired the project is at work in the hands-on progress towards commercial success. It can take uncertain time to find such men, yet their input is far more important than schedule. Money is similarly less important in Spiritually-driven projects vis a vis financially-clocked industrial or government R&D projects. Lowest bidder doesn’t mean best bidder. Those devoted to doing God’s bidding are the best overall performers. Accordingly, it is necessary that capital project donors not try to assume the role of project manager over their gracious investment. They give money, with hope, to someone else (GES). It is no longer theirs. Neither is it tax money demanding accountability to taxpayers, or venture money demanding accountability to investors, or company money demanding accountability to stockholders, or even loan money demanding payback with interest. Every project is in God’s hands, and, ideally, in the guided hands of His servants, for His glory. GES donors are Spiritual givers supporting the work of God’s Kingdom with prudence and hope, and are best involved as prayer warriors for success as the baton of financial instrumentality is passed. Attempting to wield a financial or schedule yardstick over GES or its collaborators tends to surrender God and His Called agents to outside forces of unknown Spirituality, worldly expertise, or motivation.
The tax-supported federal government has probably managed more projects and larger projects than anyone on the planet. Yet, their record for meeting either expense targets or schedule targets has been rather poor. It is not that they fail dedication or accurate feedback (progress reporting to the government is administratively daunting). I would offer the simple explanation that it is easier to count money and days than it is to comprehend sophisticated organizations, professionals, and technology embodied in government project work. So, for GES, progress is entrusted to trustworthy servants of God, to God Himself, and to God-prospered donors whose effectual, fervent prayers give angel wings of success to their money. God knows all (1 Corinthians:2.16), we know some, and we let His will prevail (James:4.13-15), trying to obediently stay un-anxious (Philippeans:4.6). God ultimately answers all our prayers (1 John:5.14-15). Along the way, however, we must be satisfied with interim responses of “Yes, No, or Later,” as we refine our petitions and service (James:4.3).
Christian ministers and missionaries usually are supported by faithful monthly giving from those served or sending. There is no issue of term or interest rates. Giving is tax deductible. A minister’s income treatment usually is handled by a board, trustees, or other agencies elected from and by a congregation, to represent them. His home (manse) and car often are given at no cost to him. Non-profit agencies are handled similarly. Higher-level executives of for-profit companies also are accorded perquisites, like a company car, stock participation, and time-deferred income.
Global Environmental Service cannot structure like a church or non-profit agency. Salutary projects, products, and processes must diffuse throughout the economy and become mainstream commerce if they are to relieve broad-based problems. Accordingly, business men (ideally Christian business men) must be free to plan, invest, negotiate capital needs, organize, buy land, build plants, acquire equipment, hire staff, design management control, debug manufacturing, develop a market, make a profit, pay taxes, etc., like any other business. Not-for-profit oversight boards can shackle an efficient, well-functioning, entrepreneurial business enterprise, especially if it is technically intensive. Since so many societal situations needing remedy have escalated to an emergency level, moving effectively to relieve problems in a context of crisis management further adds to cost. Accordingly, estimates of capital costs of the sort faced by Global Environmental Service rarely derive from established market prices. Innovation newness adds much uncertainty and cost escalation. A context of crisis brings even more cost escalation. Characteristically high first-costs can and should translate into good final solutions when God is for us (Romans:8.31). Spiritually-motivated worldly-wise answers will be rich in potential for lowering cost of living, generating more economical products & processes, and adding permanence.
Historically, the U.S. has relied upon organizations of greater and greater size to address its growing inventory of problems and bring about relief. Big government, big business, big military, big finance, even big church or big entertainment, have moved center-stage and held onto respect from concerned citizenry. In the context of present super-bigness, however, there emerges an inescapable inertia and distancing from the individual, the grass roots, the details, even from things Spiritual. Super-organizations become detached, less manageable, slower to adjust. They move too strong, often devaluing micro-individuality by their massive nature. Accordingly, GES and other singleton voices of counsel that have greater freedom to inquire and adapt are becoming worthier navigators to society and to super-organizations. It is to individuals that inspiration, creativity, invention, and answers to perplexity flow. Organizations become important or essential for implementation work, once the spark of enlightenment emerges from solitary minds, often spiritual minds:
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights,
with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. James:1.17
My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations (trials); Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting (lacking) nothing. If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways. James:1.2-8
The Priesthood of Science & Technology (PST) is both spiritually-wise and worldly-wise. Their forte is to conceive ideas ideally worthy of business AND generate a start-up, usually by drawing others into it. If they enter their own business, it is unlikely that they will be free to serve any other subsequent need. In difficult times, there usually is problem diversity beckoning solution diversity. So, keeping the flow of heavenly creativity going requires that the priestly catalyst remain in a supported, diversely generative (multi-entrepreneurial) mode, and not settle into a single-business service-and-benefit stream.
Unlike a world or nation or state government, Spiritual priesthoods do nothing via taxation. They spearhead establishment of a nation run by charity, totally free of taxes (Matthew:17.25-26). It may just be their own money and labor and ideas that spark a start-up. If an elite knowledge worker is given a dislocation-free career, his post-career repertoire may be robust enough to self-generate a second career God inspires (Second Wind). In times of tribulation, however, few Spiritual people make it through career time unchecked financially. Usually, Christian wallets empty first when the going gets tough. God always motivates remedial service, but His men may not always have the financial where-with-all to fund it. Therein rests the occasion for charity support from those foreseeing, needing, or receiving sacrificial service (Matthew:10.9-10). Good shepherds serve no matter what, but supported service can go further and faster (John:10.10-13). Those who laid heavy burdens on Jesus (Israel and Ancient Rome) did not do well in the aftermath. The Church Jesus commissioned began on a shoestring, but patiently and ultimately brought prosperity above all other kingdoms on earth.
The Priesthood of Science & Technology harbors holiness above worldly businesses or governments or social institutions. That qualification comes direct from God, and accords such men answers from heaven to ALL earth’s problems (John:15.7). The high priest of God gives gifts and makes sacrifices in the NAME (logos) of God (Hebrews: 5.1). He is not free to interpose worldly authorities between himself and the Almighty. He must keep the chain-of-command pure. Worldly interposition would move the Son away from divine purpose into who knows what. It is a direct report, never revoked, never violated. It may seem like autonomy, but the Free Man of God is obedience-bound to his Heavenly Father in an eternal sacred trust matched nowhere else on Earth (John:8.28-29,38).
Jesus was a high priest of God, and the Bible testifies of such Called men (see Hebrews). Pharisees wanted to dominate him, but He could not subordinately join their numbers, as He was holy above any of them. Neither could He let pagan Rome rule His life and service. He was careful to protect traceability of the chain-of-command, that all might know He was God’s Son, obediently following every order of the Father. For-Profits and Non-Profits always have boards of directors, men usually with financial expertise and social conscience. They should not rule a Holy Man, lest money matters or the will of the people dictate Spirit. Not even churches or denominations or Christian service organizations should rule God’s High Priest. Ministers of even the highest in these categories are at best a form of Levitical priesthood, that is, priests of the law. That law connection is why modern Christians should seek Churches that preach true to the Word of God, the Holy Bible. Only one high priest from among the Levites was ordained to enter the Holy of Holies, and that was by God’s ordination. He is the highest intercessor, just above the Priests of the Law. His support was to come from God’s people through the Levitical priests. Of course, corruption at the time of Jesus kept Our Lord from receiving anything direct from the Synagogues or Levites or extant High Priest. He was not a corrupt Levite. He came from the Tribe of Judah . . . or heaven! Offerings to Him came direct from the emerging community of faith, persuaded of His gifts and integrity of his sacrifices on their behalf. The old order mired in hypocrisy and denial. What disaster would have ensued if Jesus succumbed to the authority of High Priest Caiaphas, or the Levites, or the Pharisees, or the Sadducees, or Rome, or the wilderness serpent. He even made sure His dear Mother Mary was not promoted over Him during adult life (Matthew:12.46-50; John:2.4). He always preserved that vital connection to His heavenly Father, and that is always what we should look for and cling to, especially in times of tribulation.
Jesus made sure His Church did not bow to money authority either. The Good Shepherd gives, even when there is no money, because he draws from a Well of Salvation that never runs out (John:10.10-13, John:4.7-29). The Apostles quickly learned that truth as they continued Jesus’ ministry on Earth after the Ascension. Judas left them beforehand, because there was no more money in the purse. So, the Inner Circle Jesus left behind really began saving the world with nothing in their purse (Matthew:10). The gold was in their hearts and minds and words. Good News brought them needful support as they fanned out into a dark world, bringing light. When the situation begs salvation or revival, remember that you still have your whole talented self to give (1 Corinthians:12), even when your purse is thin or empty (Matthew:10.9-10).
Not always at the front of the national mind is the fact that the U.S.A. is an advanced nation, beyond the zenith of its industrial growth, and settling into the maturity stage of national life. In a senior nation, per capita GDP and household income can be expected to decline. Work weeks can be expected to shorten. Time to do other things, especially charitable things, can be expected to increase. While the nation’s support of world missions continues well below need, domestic treasuries for charity are not likely to grow from abroad. Accordingly, financial giving must be extremely judicious. With less to give, and beautification on the increase, idolatrous investments must be avoided. Prudent charity should flow to peace-keeping, works of permanence, and raising citizen self-sufficiency.

IIncreasing longevity, education, experiential seasoning, spiritual seasoning, and later-life financial security is generating a new service elite in the U.S.A. and other advanced societies. Elders transitioning from the traditional work career of 40 years possess time, training, wealth, health, and maturity capable of serving society for up to another 40 years with golden merit and crowning grace. The table below clarifies generational refinement and emerging Quality of Service as elders herald a gentle chapter of heightened Quality of Life (QOS+QOL is a Win-Win combination). This tertiary American population augers as a prime basis for Global Environmental Service in the Priesthood of Science & Technology.

What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God,
and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price:
therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's. 1 Corinthians:6.20
When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child:
but when I became a man, I put away childish things. For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face:
now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. 1 Corinthians:13.11-12
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice,
holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. Romans:12.1
Philosophy of Giving is predicated mostly on givers that achieve a condition of financial surplus. God’s people are not encouraged to rob themselves, their families, their friends, their employers, etc., to give to God’s work. Appropriate charity springs from a cup running over, a purse with money to spare. The emerging societal structure of elders is taking shape as a Third Wave in American life with a talent surplus and time surplus that could be invested in God’s work. There is enough independence in the Third Wave population to choose devotion to God. There is intrinsic motivation for such service if one considers it a privilege to have been born in the U.S.A. as a nation under God, and to have experienced a meaningful career life serving others with reward: love, marriage, family, home, property, creature comforts, food abundance, education, transportation, vacations, retirement savings, good neighbors, happy times. The Second Wave of American Life basically applies a man to meeting the needs of others who can afford to pay for his services, products, processes, etc. The Third Wave uniquely postures for the opportunity to serve those less able to pay for his services, both at home and abroad. It is a gracious work with a global scope of benefit. But, you must know what to do, the right thing to do, the fitting thing to do. So, there emerges a requirement to find God’s CALLING in this one-to-many theater of endeavor, lest one become lost, drained, disheartened in the overwhelming cry of global need. Interweaving the Bible verses below are keys for entering God’s service, especially as an elder of the Third Wave:
Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. John:3.3
All things work together for good to them that love God,
to them who are the called according to his purpose. Romans:8.28
Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only,
but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. Philippeans:2.12-13
Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also. Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier. And if a man also strive for masteries, yet is he not crowned, except he strive lawfully. The husbandman that laboureth must be first partaker of the fruits. 2 Timothy:2.1-6
Love is the key that opens the eyes, the ears, the heart to God (1 John:4.8). If you love God, you will seek Him out, find the secrets of His ways, His truth, and His life (John:14.6). Searching the Holy Scripture unlocks the essence of Christ. The whole Bible speaks of Him (John:5.39). Get to know and fully internalize His ways, and you enter God’s family, you become a Son, like Jesus (John:1.12). Now, you can see . . . now you can follow (John:14.15). You belong to your Creator, not only in awesome respect, but now as a son beloved of his dear Heavenly Father. After knowing and seeing, you can engage appropriate doing (God-inspired good works per Ephesians:2.10). These wonderful things can and should happen early in life. For elder service, for shepherding service, there is a necessary time for separateness and seasoning. Step away from the hectic world now in such distress and repair to the Lord for vision, stability, purpose, sanctity. As you and God fashion yourself as an instrument of God, the night-and-day contrast between the world and His Kingdom will clarify for you. You will find hardness in rolling back the frontier of ignorance, selfishness, ungodliness; and prove yourself strong enough in the grace of our Lord to stand and remain un-entangled with darkness (Ephesians:6.10-18). You are harmless (Hebrews:7.26), but godless men are not. Knowing God’s laws and faithfully living them is the secret here (1 Corinthians:4.2). Even Jesus critically resorted to the Holy Scripture three times when standing against the Devil in the wilderness at the beginning of His earthly ministry (Matthew:4). Another secret to gentle shepherding service is contemporaneous evidence of fruitfulness. Moses presented signs to the Pharaoh evoking respect for the Rod of God (shepherd’s staff in Exodus:4). Holy men of old spoke unwavering truth and prophecy. Jesus and His disciples spoke with matchless wisdom and performed miracles. All God’s children do wonderful, preserving things and are VIPs in the world (Matthew:5.13). Mature servants of God will think and say and do things that rescue deteriorating situations and sustain peaceful prosperity (John:10.10). Enabled to see the moral terrain, these gentlemen of God become increasingly vital day-and-night navigators (Psalm:32.8, Proverbs:3.5-6). Like Moses, they are able to discern the glory of God in the retrospect of their own lives, and in the lives of the sheepfold (Exodus:33.23). Such witness and understanding is eternal fruit the world can neither bring nor take away.

'If giving yourself to Global Environmental Service is on your mind, you stand at a Spiritual crossroads. You can be a wonderful living sacrifice that marshals your gracious length of days (Deuteronomy:11.18-21) for a crowning purpose. Validate your Calling before God, and begin right where you are as a singleton (or family) He directs. Trust Him for Holy Spirit coordination, and begin serving as the tender shoot of self-sufficiency. You have grace and light the world needs and cannot counterfeit. Your cross can begin bringing Christ to any and all points of the compass: north, south, east, or west. Devote your sacred head even as Jesus did, to roll back sin and darkness in the world now filled, but blanching under the weight of it all. Only Christ can put things in order at this global level of magnitude.
. . . Perhaps you can help get that job done.

Introduction
Alas! And did my Savior bleed?
And did my Sov’reign die?
Would He devote that sacred head
For sinners such as I?
At the Cross, At the Cross,
Where I first saw the light
And the burden of my heart rolled away.
It was there by faith I received my sight,
And now I am happy all the day!
Was it for crimes I can’t erase
He groaned upon the tree?
Amazing pity! Humbling grace!
And love beyond degree!
At the Cross, At the Cross,
Where I first saw the light
And the burden of my heart rolled away
It was there by faith I received my sight,
And now I am happy all the day!
But drops of grief can ne’er repay
The debt of love I owe.
Dear Lord I give myself away:
All I am, all I have, all I know.
At the Cross, At the Cross,
Where I first saw the light
And the burden of my heart rolled away
It was there by faith I received my sight,
And now I am happy all the day!
. . . Amen
Vision

Picture progression (like family album) of Jesus at Bethlehem birth, as young boy with doctors at the temple, as Lamb of God at baptism from John and dove from heaven, as Son preaching sermon on the mount, as our beloved Lord at Last Supper.
Show assembling Rank of Salvation walking toward camera: First, Jesus at center, incrementally joined by each Apostle, eyes progressively glistening like jewels to reflect receiving light of salvation.
Picture Jesus healing blind man, damaged eyes divinely transformed into sparkling blue. Next, change dress/appearance of restored man to modern clean-shaven, groomed American wearing suit & tie (indicating blessings extending to this age).
Show modern man as silhouette, shadow hands progressively turning blood-red, stain gradually spreading throughout human figure. Show red silhouette transforming to flesh of a modern, healthy human being, image gradually wrapped in brilliant white robe, sparkling gold ring appearing on finger, heaven’s white dove appearing overhead. Show Jesus meeting, greeting, befriending man, together walking beneath the cross (He took punishment instead of us).
Show image of earth at great height over Israel, cross symbol marking Jerusalem. As camera recedes and more of earth becomes visible, show Apostles drawing cross symbols where each church of Jesus Christ was founded. Continue progression of church sites throughout Europe.
Focus on Statue of Liberty w/ crisscrossed light rays for torch. Show progression of church sites popping up throughout America. Finally highlight rosette window of churches as Eye of God symbol, ghosting eye pyramid from Sacred Seal of the United States of America.
Show droplets of red (as blood) landing on floor, cross in the high background. Show mosaic of soldiers in uniform for American Revolutionary War, Civil War, World Wars, limited wars of 20th Century. Show gentleman walking under the high cross, though an opaque luminous white wall defined by the plane of the cross. Show him appearing on other side of luminous white wall, emerging in a huge room filled with joyful world of believers happily greeting him with kisses, hugs, and handshakes.
Show Jesus as Great Shepherd with staff in middle of very large green pasture, woods all around at a distance. Show lambs coming out of the woods from all points, heading toward Jesus, as He turns in a 360-degree scan of horizon. Camera obliquely elevates as huge, huge flock assembles, fills entire meadow (symbol of global Church).
Show motion-picture collage of modern men and families gathering at churches, flooding entry steps, filling congregational seating, massing forward at alter calls, kneeling at alter, cross of Christ and rosette window above.
Show beautifully-setting western sun over Rocky Mountains near Pike’s Peak with a momentary light-cross flash, a distant panorama consummating America the Beautiful w/ taps trumpet finale.
Jesus began His earthly ministry to save the world from the eternally famous crossroads of Jerusalem. Your crossroad situates wherever you are when you decide to collaborate with His divine plan. Sacred music "At The Cross" is a beloved inspirational offering to bear you along the way.

Charity Recap . . .
Insulate God’s harmless servants from risk to their persons, family, home, property, and livelihood.
Insulate living expense from capital budgeting risks.
Pay as well as secular servants if the best service is desired.
It usually takes money to make or save money, so make allowances for capital projects.
Bad times are brought by bad people who ruthlessly love money, but do not prosper the nation in its use;
So give with prudent security, lest your gift be stolen before it reaches those sure to bring fruitfulness.
. . . . And remember God’s Plan for His people does not terminate with
over-population, dislocation, starvation, environmental disaster, crime, war, or doom.
God’s Children ultimately live longer, more abundantly, and free.

Some Questions & Answers (Q&A)
If the Priesthood of Science & Technology is the most fertile source of prospering business,
why is there any need of charitable support? They should be able to support themselves.
All things being equal, men of the Science & Technology Priesthood not only can support themselves, but they can prosperously support themselves. As God’s men, they are totally surrendered to God’s covenant with Adam to work-to-live, take care of wife & family, and tame & steward the Earth (Genesis:1 and 3). The divine call to holiness (Leviticus:11.44; Romans:12.1) gave the world holy men, even the Prophets of God. It is not an accidental homonym that connects “Prophets” and “Profits.” God’s Children have clearly declared (Biblical) promises of abundant life (John:10.10), prosperity (Psalm:1.3), and riches (Revelation:5.12). The holiness of God on earth comes into focus more so when the world turns dark, cruel, wicked (like unlit candle wicks). The light of God comes through most by contrast with the dark. The context of darkness engenders a context of unfairness that usually penalizes God’s gentlemen (Lambs or Sons or Saints) most and soonest. They are a soft touch to the devils of this world. If law and order doesn’t restrain deceivers, brutes, heavies, beasts, etc., Saints of God will be forced to surrender comfort, love relationships, work-generated wealth, even life (Romans:8.36-39).
Today’s chief wealth-generating work is Knowledge Work. It is easier and more prospering than modern labor work. It has a less visible quality (intellectual property) than the traditional hardware of labor work (real or personal property). Knowledge Workers, however, become vulnerable to a whole new array of criminality that makes stealing from the educated, spiritual Gold Mind and its repertoire of Knowledge Tools extremely easy. Identities are stolen, inventions are counterfeited, viruses devastate workstations, hackers with sophisticated electronics steal at the speed of light, phones are tapped, secret societies beguile and prey on naïve individuals, dirty politics circumnavigate civil rights, lawless gangs overpower and rob innocents, etc., etc., etc. When sophisticated power abuse finally becomes more evident in the Knowledge Age, the enlightened will act to halt further victimization, especially victimization of Saints (Revelations:17.6). Reformers will be able to cut through corrupted financial systems, violated legal codes, devious schemes, etc., easiest via straight-forward charity, unemployment insurance, social security, etc. Reformers and revivers also will see the need to re-inforce physical protection of God’s Lambs. Interventions already in place are diverse and growing: gated communities, security cameras & services, affirmative action, diplomatic immunity, pro bono lawyers, security guards, social agencies, public housing, food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, national healthcare, etc., etc., etc.
It is not exaggeration to say that the U.S.A. has built the best social safety net in the world for its citizens. By God’s ordination, the world has been most in the care of the U.S. If that global shepherding responsibility is to persevere through good times and bad, a robust U.S. safety net may be seen as a key prerequisite. It is by the wisdom of Almighty God that holy and harmless men are most favored with highest things (power, riches, wisdom, strength, honor, glory, and blessing, per Revelation:5.12). It also is a fact of life in a fallen world that unholy and harmful men are quick to envy and attack precious life to steal their God-given fruit. Obligatory of every society hoping to rise and perpetually prosper is preserving, protecting, and insulating from criminal elements Saints and their families and their homes and their land. This moral dynamic first found serious expression at the dawn of man. It is, once again, the key issue today, and the stumbling block to entering promised days of heaven on earth (Deuteronomy:11.18-21).
Americans live in a fast-paced, organization-dominated, media-intense, travel-active society.
How can home-centered elder Spiritual life & service generate better answers
by retreating from a high-speed, dynamic, complex, risk-laden, and problem-heavy society?
Resort to un-busy solitude has history in common-man wisdom of the U.S.A. Vacations, athletic camps, religious retreats, etc., are rather well known. It also is common to have some un-busy wisdom figure preside: coaches over teams, social directors during resort vacations, ministers at Bible camps, etc. The practice of getting away from it all to put one’s life in order has a lot of Biblical endorsement. The Nazarite Vow (Numbers:6) required un-peaceful souls to withdraw for a time from busy worldliness that was crowding out patient spirituality. God also spoke to Moses’ request to see Him, by telling him that His glory would be visible only in retrospect, only by after-math reflection (Exodus:33.18-23).
The fast pace of American work acquired many negative labels during the 20th Century: treadmill, rat-race, tyranny-of-the-urgent, etc. Peace-of-mind suffered, anxiety rose to prescription drug levels (tranquilizers), and people couldn’t sleep at night (they tuned in to late-night TV comedians to unwind before falling asleep). The modern milieu became so enticing, so distracting, that Americans no longer found time for prayer as the way out of anxiety, as the way to peace (Philippeans:4.6-7, Isaiah:26.3). God is patient and loving and kind and merciful (Psalm:23;25; 37;119; 2 Thessalonians:3.5), and He prefers men of that type. He best expresses himself within that life style. The world was delivering us (and our resident God) a hectic, distracted, overloaded, increasingly perverted media mind at odds with heaven. We needed more than ever to possess the all-knowing Mind of Christ, alone capable of giving us peace and concise right answers all the time (1 Corinthians:2.9-16). We needed to furnish God with a quiet room in our precious head for expressing Himself, loving us, guiding us, comforting us; instead of surrendering to pressures of the maddening crowd. His sets on a Throne of Grace we are privileged to inwardly carry, too pure to look upon sin in or around us (Habakkuk:1.13), too important to ignore (Isaiah:45.5-6), a minister of perfect peace (Isaiah:26.3). Senior solitude permits us to give God the quiet environment he demands (Zeharaiah:2.13), where His still, small voice is heard without opposition (1 Kings:19.12). From that heavenly context can flow answers to all our earthly needs (John:15.7).
Are Non-Monetary Real or Personal Property Gifts to GES Appropriate?
Generally speaking, tangible non-monetary gifts are not appropriate charity support for GES. From a practical standpoint, channeling service and support via Internet is oriented towards intellectual property and electronic funds, not tangible property. From a Spiritual standpoint, financial liquidity grants GES greatest discretion for decision-making and implementation. A well-intentioned gift of tangible property, say an automobile, while extremely generous, precludes choice and presumes affordability. A car may not even be needed at the moment. It may not be the right type of vehicle for a needful use. Finally, a new or used automobile associates with a host of non-paid-for complementary expenses that may not be affordable (insurance, taxes, maintenance, fuel, inspections, garaging, etc.). Liquidating a gift vehicle for any of the reasons above tends to nullify the original purpose of a tangible donation, involve GES in activity (e.g., car sales) inconsistent with its charter for service, and compel commercial action more easily handled by a donor.
If one traces the hierarchy of holiness, the GES Priest should be most in accord with God about resources to be used, and the work to which they should be put. Those giving things non-monetary to GES may or may not be sufficiently informed of the ultimate need, or may not be guided by high or Holy Spirit. Yet, they make the entire decision of physical gift, subordinating discretion of the Priesthood.
Without doubt, the best physical-tangible gift possibly given to Global Environmental Service is yourself. Pre-conditions for that already have been described. The Third Wave of American life evokes the opportunity for personal commitment to singleton holy service from right where you are. That dedication activates a flow of grace that crowns life and never really ends.
Closing Perspectives From The Holy Scripture on Giving
Psalm 24 reminds us that the wonderful world we live in is not ours. Neither does it belong to the government or their tax collectors. It is not the property of landlords or buying & selling realtors. It belongs to God. Furthermore, all who dwell on earth belong to God. We are less possessors, more possessions. And it is at the discretion of Almighty God who will be set upon His emerald green jewel of paradise. Clean hands and pure hearts mark the generation that inherits this place. So, when we give, whether our money or ourselves, we are giving back to our Creator, the First Giver, the original and everlasting owner. When we fashion ourselves after our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the King of all Kings, and Lord of all Lords, we become part of the divine processional through the door of eternal salvation and eternal life. Christ in us marks His second coming. We can be one with the King of Glory through amazing grace. Twice bought, we have a fathomless debt of love to give back.
The earth is the LORD'S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.
For He hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods.
Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in His holy place?
He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart;
who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.
He shall receive the blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.
This is the generation of them that seek Him, that seek Thy face, O Jacob. Selah.
Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors;
and the King of glory shall come in.
Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle.
Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors;
and the King of glory shall come in.
Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, He is the King of glory. Selah.
Psalm:24
Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's. 1 Corinthinians:6.19-20
