God’s Retributive Judgments of Pharaoh & Egypt

Abiding Testimony of Timeless Divine Justice

Judgment One - River Turned to Blood (Exodus:7.17-21)

Jews were God’s firstborn, wrongfully slaved by Pharaoh. God’s infant “blood” was mercilessly slain and tossed into the Nile. Moses amazingly escaped Nile death and was raised a son of Pharaoh in his house. Pharaoh ultimately refused to acknowledge either Moses or God as supreme Shepherd of Egypt, despite many proofs of unsurpassed power and excellence. God turned the Nile to blood, this time to signify Pharaoh sons and people, Pharaoh “blood,” would be taken (shed). Pharaoh sin enacted by his subjects, was a stench and stain on Egypt that God would remove by the strong hand of true deity.
