River of Blood

And it shall come to pass, if they will not believe also these two signs, neither hearken unto thy voice, that thou shalt take of the water of the river, and pour it upon the dry land: and the water which thou takest out of the river shall become blood upon the dry land. Exodus:4.9

Since Pharaoh had arranged death of Jewish boys by soldiers who tossed their infant remains into the Nile, the sign of water from the Nile becoming blood on the land of Egypt is most ominous. It portends a retaliatory death of Egyptian sons, Egyptian “blood,” Egyptian progeny. Persistent Pharaoh disobedience towards God would bring his empire to naught by means similar to what Pharaoh used to frustrate God’s benevolent Kingdom plans on behalf of Egypt and Africa though His Chosen People. Ultimately, God’s People would exit Egypt and Africa. Consequently, the Pharaohs would leave Egypt and Africa by an extinction process set in motion by Almighty God through Moses and Aaron wielding the scepter of God.
