My Father was a celebrated music vocalist early in life, a successful pro in his teenage years, backed by local talented musicians from the Big Band era. He sang from the heart to thousands of deserving working men and families in the region, promoting romance and happy days among their rewards. Nightly dancing to the Big Bands was THE social event of that day, and it is where my Father and Mother first met. He was Called to cheer others through live music. Mother emerged on the scene as his special joy, and they soon married. Sensitive to the marvelous power of joy he gave and received, he was known to have composed the phrase: "Love the woman who laughs with you." Mom and Dad loved beautiful music and the exciting nightlife that enriched the mix. Sadly, sounds of World War tore them away from those momentous days, and those kinds of celebrations never returned. Children of that marriage later helped them to see the abiding higher power of music, and the One who turns wars to peace. Singing unto the Lord transcends all earthly adversities, keeps the heart singing, and packages an eternal supply of laughter. A song tribute especially to my Dad, entitled: "Laughter From The Heart" has been added to the Music Page. You are welcomed to give it a listen. Mom and Dad will have to wait a bit for their hearing. Maybe they will dance again.
